Central Oahu real estate can be found in the middle of the island, located between Koolau Mountain Range to the east and the Waianae Mountain Range to the west. Pearl Harbor serves as the boundary point at the most southern point of Central Oahu, with Haleiwa in the north as the gateway to the North Shore. One of the great benefits of living in the middle of Oahu is that you have access to the H-1, H-2, Kamehameha Highway, and Farrington Highway. The Patsy T Mink Central Oahu Regional Park, also known as CORP, is located in Waipio along Kamehameha Highway. Corp is one of the largest parks on the island and is complete with several youth and regulation-sized baseball diamonds, softball fields, tennis complex, swimming complex, archery range, and multipurpose fields used for soccer and flag football games. The Waipio Soccer Complex is another fantastic park located in Waipahu. The complex has 23 soccer fields including the 4,500-seat Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium which is the home field of the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine soccer team. Spanning over 280-acres, the Waipio Soccer Complex is estimated to serve nearly 30,000 youth and adult soccer players on Oahu and many others who travel to the island for national and international tournaments.
There is no shortage of shopping, dining, and entertainment in Central Oahu. Pearlridge, located in Aiea, is the second largest shopping mall in Hawaii. The mall is split up into two phases, "Uptown" and "Downtown", and is complete with a 16-screen movie theater. Oahu's only outlet center, Waikele Premium Outlets, is located in the desirable community of Waikele. The Town Center of Mililani is another popular option including many shops, restaurants, and a 14-plex theater, however there are many other shopping centers located throughout Central Oahu. Local shops and restaurants can be found within a short drive from most neighborhoods as well as your usual national big-box retailers such as Walmart, Best Buy, Home Depot, Sears, etc. Warehouse clubs, Sam's Club and Costco, are also available to Central Oahu residents and business owners.
